our Values

We believe Jesus is Life and that leads us to action!

Authority of Scripture

-Inspiration - All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. (2 Tim. 3:16-17)

Discipleship

In the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20), Jesus commands His followers to "make disciples of all nations." Our goal at Wesley-Weyman Methodist Church is to be disciples who make other disciples through loving Jesus and loving others. Sharing the life-changing message of the Gospel.

Wesleyan Tradition

At Wesley-Weyman we honor the doctrinal heritage of the Wesleyan Tradition which emphasizes the authority of Scripture, the importance of spiritual disciplines like prayer, fasting, and Bible Study. We believe that we are called to "holiness of heart and life," as lived out in our love for God and neighbor.

Prayer & Worship

And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. (Acts 2:42) The early church devoted themselves to a life marked by devotion to Scripture and under girded by prayer. At Wesley-Weyman we see and experience the power of prayer in our daily lives. We are also committed to corporate worship in order to worship God and forthe strengthening of the church.

Fellowship

And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. (Acts 2:42) The early church understood the strength of fellowship as part of their daily life. They gathered for worship, prayer, and to encourage one another. The unity of the early church was a strong witness to the world. At Wesley-Weyman we believe that our unity through our fellowship in Jesus, is a testimony to God's greatness.

MISSION

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Sharing the Gospel where we are and around the world is making the love of God known to our neighbors no matter who or where they are.

Acts of Service

And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. (Acts 2:43-45) The early church believed that the loving God and others should be lived out in tangible ways.at Wesley-Weyman we strive to be a body of believers known for their compassion.

Philosophy of Ministry

Ministry isn’t limited to the confines of a church building.

As believers, we are called to both worship and imitate Christ
